Heart’s Melody is an upcoming K-pop Demon Hunters zine focused on yuri of the women in the movie, in various configurations (such as Polytrix, ZoeMira, Zoeumi, RuMira, doomed! (or undoomed) Celine x Miyeong + any other configurations you might be able to think of!). The main zine will be SFW, but due to the possibility of a NSFW add-on, pending Interest Check, we will only be taking mods and contributors over the age of 18.We are hoping to get enough interest to produce a physical zine, and will be taking writers, artists and merch artists.This will be a charity zine, with the charity to-be-determined.Please Note: The primary mode of communication with contributors will be through Discord, and files will be handled through Google Drive. If we choose to do a NSFW half of the zine, we may discuss/implement alternative methods such as Stoat or a separate server.

What is a zine?
A zine is a collection of writing and art around a specific theme or topic collected in a book format. They usually also come with merchandise of various kinds.Will this zine include spoilers?
Yes! Since this zine relies heavily on interpreting the movie through a shipping lens, it will include spoilers for all content from the movie, and can include spoilers for things that are ‘word of god canon’, ie stated by the creators or in the art book/supplementary materials that is not in the movie.Can we make ship content that is pre and post the movie?
Yes! We would love to see this content.Are AUs allowed?
AU’s will be allowed on a case-by-case basis, depending on how easy they are to understand from a single image or story, and how far they are from canon. For example, AU’s like ‘Miyeong lives’ are more likely to be approved than ‘the girls are soup cans now’ type of AUs.Are trans headcanons allowed?
Trans headcanons are allowed and even encouraged for those that want to explore them in a sincere and meaningful way. (This is the only way RuJinu would be allowed in the zine for example, if it is with the intent of sincerely exploring the ship with Jinu as a trans woman or non-binary.) Trans creators are encouraged to write the girls and the ships in whatever ways most aligns with the identity they wish to explore, and cis creators are encouraged to create these headcanons as well, so long as it is done in a respectful and affirming way, and they make sure to talk with trans creators for sensitivity reasons.This includes non-binary and he/him lesbians too!Did you know about Unbreakable Golden, B-Sides, this other KPDH zine?
Yes, we’re watching the space closely! We know that we have a similar theme to Unbreakable Golden, but our zine is focused solely on the romantic aspects of the various configurations of the girls’ relationships, and does not include the platonic component that Unbreakable Golden does! And we may have a NSFW component to their only SFW zine. As well, our timelines are very different, and they will be well into production by the time we open Contributor Apps! We think there’s tons of room for both, and hope you’ll support Unbreakable Golden too during their leftovers.As for B-Sides, while our zine will also have ZoeMira, we won’t solely have ZoeMira, and we hope that those of you that are fans of the ship will support both zines for tons of ZoeMira goodness! And if you only want ZoeMira, B-Sides is the zine for you, since ours can have any configuration of the girls! (Just like with Unbreakable Golden, ours is also different in that it will also offer NSFW ZoeMira content depending on IC!)Will this zine cost money?
Yes! Regardless of whether the zine goes physical or ends up only digital, we will be raising money for a to-be-determined charity. If we go physical, money raised will first go to compensate contributors for their work with free bundles, and then the remaining money will go to charity.Can I apply for multiple roles?
Yes, you can apply for multiple roles, but depending on interest, it is highly likely you will only get assigned one role if accepted.Is there an age limit?
Yes, due to wanting to create a NSFW add-on we will only be accepting moderators and creators that are 18 years of age or older.What are you going to do about Discord’s potential age verification issues, especially for artists from the UK, if the zine includes NSFW content?
We are still discussing strategies in place to mitigate these issues, and will have a plan for the zine come time for contributor apps, but rest assured we are aware of them!Can I use generative AI to make my piece?
NO. Any use of generative AI is plagiarism, and will be treated as such. Anyone caught using AI for any part of the creation process (even simply for “idea generation”) will be kicked from the project immediately.Help, my question wasn’t answered here!
